macos – Is it protected to erase my HDD (with partition disk0s2) when attempting to downgrade from Mojave to Excessive Sierra?

I have to downgrade from Mojave to Excessive Sierra however am unsure if I can safely erase the HDD as a way to set up the brand new OS.

I am conscious that I can create an installer on a USB drive for Excessive Sierra or I can reinstall the model of Mac OS that the machine got here with utilizing Web Restoration mode. Regardless, I do know that I will have to erase the HDD. I used to be about to take action however it gave a warning message that erasing the HDD may even erase partition disk0s2 and I am unsure what that partition is for.

Inputting diskutil record into terminal outputs the next:

After downgrading to HS, I’ll transfer over recordsdata that I want from the a time machine backup I created on Mojave. I’m conscious that I can’t set up the entire backup from time machine because the backup was taken on Mojave.

Any assist will probably be a lot appreciated.
Thanks.
