How is 3D printing advancing hypersonic flight?

Introduced throughout Farnborough Worldwide Airshow 2022, HVX is a reusable Mach 5-plus program undertaken by Rolls-Royce, the UK authorities’s Defence Science and Applied sciences Lab (DSTL), the RAF’s Speedy Capabilities Workplace, and Response Engines.

The HVX program combines Rolls-Royce’s jet engine expertise with warmth exchanger expertise developed by Response Engines. Additive Manufacturing, aka industrial 3D Printing, is an enabling expertise.
