Privacy

The short version#

ZigProxy is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no newsletter. The interactive tools run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere.

The tools#

Every tool on this site, the client IP resolver, the no_proxy tester, the proxy_pass simulator, the PROXY protocol decoder, the PAC file tester and the timeout ladder checker, is implemented in JavaScript that runs on your machine.

Specifically:

• Nothing you type is transmitted to this site or to any third party.
• Nothing is written to local storage, session storage, or a cookie by the tools.
• The PAC file tester evaluates your script in your own browser. dnsResolve and isInNet answer from the table you supply, so no real DNS query is made and no hostname leaves your machine.
• Reload the page and everything you entered is gone.

You can verify this: the tools are plain JavaScript in the page source, and your browser's network tab will show no requests while you use them.

Server logs#

The web server that delivers this site records standard request data, which typically includes the requesting IP address, the time, the URL requested, the referring URL and the user agent string. This is used to operate the site and diagnose faults. It is not used to build profiles of individual visitors and it is not sold.

Cookies#

The site itself sets no cookies for analytics, personalisation or tracking. The search page fetches a static index file so that search runs locally in your browser rather than on a server.

Advertising#

This site may display advertising served by third parties. Advertising networks may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser, and may collect data about your visit according to their own policies, which are not under our control. Where you are in a jurisdiction that requires consent for this, you will be asked for it before any such technology is used, and you can withdraw consent through the same mechanism.
